GRT enabled backup of Exchange fails with the error "0xe000038d - Backup Exec could not back up the Exchange database because it could not find a healthy copy of the database"


Error



0xe000038d - Backup Exec could not back up the Exchange database because it could not find a healthy copy of the database


Environment



Backup of a Exchange DAG to Tape fails intermittently with above error. The Issue was seen with full and Incremental backups.


Solution



Workaround :

Disable GRT for Exchange Backups.

This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation.
