Technical Solution


Backup Exec restore view of  SharePoint content and services databases components shows size as zero bytes. Issue is with "Sharepoint web applications and portal sites” view and “SharePoint farm components” view in the restore wizard




This is an issue with User Interface only. Even if the backup set size shows as Zero in restore view, you will be able to restore data. For the actual size of the databases, please check job log, or Backup Set view under Sharepoint Farm / Storage.


Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) listed under the Product(s) Section of this article. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time.
