NOTE:  Hotfix 217347 is a cumulative hotfix and contains new fixes in addition to the fixes in Hotfix 215906 and 216746.

Prerequisites
- Backup Exec 2012 revision 1798 Service Pack 4 (SP4) (TECH212772) is required before installing this update
- Administrative privileges are required to install this hotfix. 
 
 
 
Post requisites
- A full backup is recommended after installing this hotfix.
- Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this hotfix
- Remote Agent for Linux/Unix/Macintosh Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.  

- Vmware Agent (AVVI) Full Backups must re-run if the target storage location is a Deduplication Storage Folder.

 

Issue(s) resolved

- Exchange 2010 GRT (Granular Recovery Technology) restore fails with "Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Identifier." (TECH210896)
- Incorrect storage type is displayed after installed Hotfix 213186, Hotfix 215906 or Hotfix 216746 (TECH214134)
- Post Hotfix 216746 GRT enabled AVVI Incremental backups to a Deduplication Storage Folder is failing with error "0xe0009585 - Unable to open a disk of the virtual machine" (TECH217244)
 

 

Uninstalling this hotfix
This hotfix cannot be uninstalled.
