Post requisites
- A full backup is recommended after installing this hotfix.
- Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this hotfix
- Remote Agent for Linux/Unix/Macintosh Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.  

 

 

Issue(s) resolved

-Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) may delete backup sets that are expired but still have dependent backup sets that are not yet expired. (TECH218094)
-Backup Exec remote agent terminates when browsing local server after installing Backup Exec 2014 (TECH218093)
-VXGather does not gather the Backup Exec Crash Dump BEDBG CAB files.
-Backup Exec Job Engine (beingine.exe) Service immediately crashes on deviceio.dll, when jobs start (TECH217575)
-Backup Exec Remote Agent service (beremote.exe) terminates or spawns thousands of threads when enumerating resources. (TECH218461)
-Backups may randomly stop and report A device attached to the system is not functioning.
-Backup Exec Job engine (bengine.exe) terminates at the beginning of the first job after a service start.
-Device Discovery Failure for a tape drive or library due to Large device handle numbers (e.g. Tape2147483646), due to Tape drive or Library Persistence. (TECH218286)
