Backup Exec Debug:

235fe700 Wed May 28 10:22:46 2014 : Device Error = 104

235fe700 Wed May 28 10:22:46 2014 : TF xfer time = 73 seconds.
 

Device Error = 104 means that Connection reset by peer.

NOTE:  Device Error = 1101 is a normal case. The remote agent reached end of the media set and read complete data.

Rmote Agent for Linux (RALUS)

 


Cause



This issue is caused in a specific condition where Backup Exec job engine (bengine) sends all data but the remote agent does not yet receive all data.

If some network error occurs in the condition, bengine cannot detect the network error because bengine has completed to send all data successfully.

This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.
