Problem
How to change the location of the Journals
Solution
Warning:
Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating
system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes
to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by
persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is
recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior
to making any registry changes.
To change the
location of the Journals:
1. Stop the replication
job.
2. Stop the Storage Replicator
RSA .
3. Edit the drive letter in the
following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\Storage
Replicator\2.11\JournalRoot (Figure 1)
Figure 1
5. Restart the Storage
Replicator RSA .
6. Restart the replication
job(s).
Notes:
1. The storage location pointed
to by the Journal Root must always be available. For example, do not store the
journal files on a shared cluster drive.
2. Never put the Journal Root on
the same volume as the files being replicated.
