Solution

On a cluster system running VERITAS Volume Manager (tm) for Windows 2000, the creation of a Volume Manager Disk Group (VMDG) resource may fail with the error displayed above. This error can occur when there is an open handle on a volume that is marked for inclusion in the cluster resource. To resolve this issue, change the drive letter to another available letter, then change it back to the original letter in order to release any open handles. If this procedure fails to resolve the issue, please contact VERITAS Technical Services for assistance.
