Problem
How to export and save the job history and job logs in HTML and text format in Backup Exec 10.x or higher
Solution
In Backup Exec (tm) 10.x, 11d, and 12.x for Windows Servers, the job history and job logs are stored in XML format which improves flexibility, but these files cannot be easily viewed. These XML logs can be converted into convenient, portable HTML or text documents for ease of use.
Use the following methods to convert the logs to HTML or TXT formats:
For Backup Exec 10.x, or higher for Windows Servers:
1. Double-click the job in the Job History panel in the Job Monitor menu
2. Click the Job Log option and click the Save As button (Figure 1)

3. Specify a name for the file to be saved and specify the Save as type as HTML or TXT (Figure 2)

4. Click the Save button to save the file
