How to confirm if the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers or a complete edition of Backup Exec is installed on a remote computer

Solution

To determine what software is installed on remote computers using the Backup Exec (tm) interface, do the following:

1. Click Backup, and then click Source | Selections from the Backup Job Properties window

2. Expand Windows systems ( Figure 1)

3. Right-click the remote server, and then select Properties (Figure 2)

If both, the Remote Agent and Backup Exec Information, show as Installed: Yes, then a full installation of Backup Exec is present on the remote machine.
