The Serial Number is missing from Inventory; the Manufacturer shows up in the Serial Number field.


Notification Server 6.0 SP3

A change made for Inventory 6.1.1063 inadvertantly caused this issue.
Product defect


The fix will be officially released in SP2 for Inventory Solution 6.1.

The attached version of AeXSNPlus.exe is a pre-build of the SP2 AeXSNPlus.  This build has not gone through Altiris QA and is used 'as is'.  It is recommended for testing.  If used in production, use at your own risk.
  1. On the Notification Server browse to \Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\Bin\Win32\X86\Inventory Solution.
  2. Rename the file AeXSNPlus.exe to AeXSNPlus.exe.old.
  3. Download the attached version (link found in the right-pane of the Article window) and place in this directory.
  4. When the Distribution Point is updated and the clients check the package, they will see the change and download the new verison of the file.
