Issue



Recovery Solution's Web-based Recovery Solution Agent install fails with a "Page cannot be displayed" error.


Environment



Recovery Solution 6.0, 6.1, 6.2


Cause



There are two causes for this problem:
 

  1. ASMExt directory is not listed under Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager's Default Web site.
  2. The asmext.dll file is not registered with the Windows Server* operating system.

Solution



  1. Verify that ASMext directory is listed under Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager's Default Web site.
  2. Register the asmext.dll library with the Windows Server operating system using the "Regsvr32 asmext.dll". The asmext.dll library is located at %Program Files%\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Server\Agent\ASMExt\ directory on the Recovery Solution Server.
