Snapshot fails on a computer having a large number of disks or partitions (Hotfix 2)

The snapshot fails with an error message "An internal error occured. Please contact technical support. Exception... The directory cannot be removed."

Environment



Recovery Solution 6.2.2332
This issue is observed on the client computers having large number of partitions (10 and higher).

Cause



The issue is caused by the static buffer overflow in DRAgent.dll.

Solution



Please apply the attached fixed DRAgent.dll with the dynamic memory allocation. In order to apply the fix:

  1. Download the ZIP containing the fix. Unzip to any location.
  2. Stop the RS Agent service on the problematic computer using Services.
  3. Copy the fixed DRAgent.dll over the existing one in the RS Agent installation folder.
  4. Restart the RS Agent service.
