Problem
Unix inventory is only capturing a limited number of drives. In one case, we were only reporting 149 of over 220 drives. The drives could be seen using the format command and our nsi file only had 149.
Environment
Inventory for Unix 6.1
Inventory for Unix 6.2
Solaris/SunOS systems only. Other Unix/Linux-based systems are not affected.
Cause
There is a bug in the code that allows for a pipe buffer overrun preventing gathering of information on all drives.
Solution
To be determined. This should not occur in the 7.0 or 7.1 versions of SMP and Inventory for Unix, Linux and Macintosh (ULM).
