    " occurs.

Environment

Cause

Certain licensing components have not registered correctly most likely at point of installation or upgrade.

Solution

Run a repair on the NS ensuring that if terminal servicing to your NS, that you are connected in console mode, that is, by going to Start > Run, and typing in the mstsc.exe /v:<Servername> /console command.

In order to achieve this, you will need to go to the Add or Remove Programs control panel applet and then run a repair on the following two items in order:

  1. First repair Altiris Notfication Server 6.0.
  2. And then run a repair on the Altiris NS 6.0 SP3 Update (KB25133).

It is possible that you may also need to run through the NS Setup Wizard. But if this is the case, you will be prompted to do so when you attempt to open up the console again.
