Problem
When connecting with a remote DS (Deployment Solution) console to a Deployment Server, regardless of the time zone set on the remote OS, the time on the remote OS will be changed to match that of the actual DS Server.
Environment
DS 5.5, 5.6, 6.0, 6.1 tested, unsure on 6.5
Cause
unknown
Solution
On the DS Server, a new DWORD registry key called "TimeSyncMaster" needs to be created under
HKLM\Software\Altiris\Altiris Express\Options.
Be sure the entry is set to 0
Shut-down all Consoles, and restart the DS services on the server for the change to take effect.
