KNOWN ISSUE: Help menu entries are not working for WiseScript Editor and WiseScript Package Editor on Network Client install

Issue



1. Install WPS on a client using the network client option.
2. Open either WiseScript Editor or WiseScript Package Editor.
3. Click either Help > Help Topics or Help > Reference Manual or F1 help.
No help appears either as a CHM or PDF.
The PDF and CHM for WiseScript Package Editor is getting installed, but the PDF and CHM for WiseScript Editor is not getting installed.  The registry keys are missing (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wise Solutions\WiseScript Package Editor\Settings and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wise Solutions\WiseScript Editor\Settings)

The help also does not work for WiseScript Editor when it is accessed from WIE using one of the Run WiseScript custom actions.

Cause



Missing files for WiseScript Editor and registry keys for WiseScript Package Editor and WiseScript Editor.

Solution



Workaround:  Place the WiseScript Editor chm and pdf in the Help directory (C:\Program Files\Altiris\Wise Package Studio\Help), then export the following registry keys from the server and import them into the client.
