Changing the Task Owner in Project Management tab changes the assignment in other projects

Issue



Changing the Task Owner in Project Management tab changes the assignment in other projects that use the same process. 

Steps to reproduce (this must be done with a Wise Package Studio environment that has at least two users assigned an enterprise license):

  1. Click on the Project Setup button in Wise Package Studio.
  2. Create a new project named test1.
    • Select the "Repackage for Windows Installer" process.
    • Use defaults for all other fields.
  3. Create another new project named test2.
    • Select the "Repackage for Windows Installer" process.
    • Use defaults for all other fields.
  4. Close the Project Setup window.
  5. Click on the Project Management tab for project test1.
  6. Select a task.
  7. Click Assign User and select a user.
  8. Go to project test2. The Task Owner has been changed for the same task for this project.

Wise Package Studio 7.0 SP2

Solution



This issue has been fixed Wise Package Studio 7 SP3.

A hotfix was created for this issue. If you are on Wise Package Studio 7.0 SP2 perform the following to install the hotfix. This hotfix cannot be applied to other versions of Wise Package Studio.

  1. Download the attached hotfix.
  2. Unzip and run WPS_7.0_SP2_Hotfix_2.exe on the Wise Package Studio server.

This hotfix also needs to be executed on any Wise Package Studio clients that were installed as Local clients.
