Problem
Licensing displays inconsistent entries when Inventory Solution for Pocket PC 6.1 SP3 is installed.
If Inventory Solution for Pocket PC 6.1 SP3 is the initial install, no entry is made in the Licensing display. When an inventory is received from a Pocket PC by the Notification Server, the data is rejected due to insufficient licenses. If Inventory Solution for Pocket PC is upgraded to 6.1 SP3, a separate entry is displayed for Inventory for Pocket PC whereas it should be combined with the Inventory Solution for Windows, UNIX, Linux, Macintosh, Windows Mobile, RIM, Palm, and SNMP devices as outlined on the Altiris Web site at http://www.altiris.com/Products/InventorySolution/skuconsolidation.aspx.Environment
Inventory Solution for Pocket PC 6.1 SP3
Cause
This build of Inventory for Pocket PC combined the licensing with other inventory products. In the case of Pocket PC, the assemblies and licensing GUIDs are not synchronizing properly with the other inventory solutions.
Solution
This has been resolved in build 6.1.1141 of Inventory Solution for PocketPC. Please contact technical support to obtain the installer for this build.
