Custom Inventory causes a Data Protection error.


Inventory for Windows 6.1


Development has determined that this is a bug:

CustInv tries to determine whether the operands of the IF statement are numeric or strings in order to perform the correct comparisons. When strings larger than 256 characters were used, the buffer used for the conversion routine was insufficient to hold the attempted conversion, resulting in the crash.


The current plan is to provide a hotfix based on the Inventory for Windows 6.1 SP2 build of aexcustinv.exe.
