Looking on the NS logs there are multiple errors referring to PC Transplant Capture Agent Package. Those errors refer to NSEs that are flooding the NSCAP\EVTtQFast\Bad\ItemNotFoundException folder.

Some examples of NS logs error messages are:

Some examples of how those NSEs could look like are as the followings:

Sometimes the PC Transplant Solution is not longer installed or is already disabled on the Notification Server.

Environment

Notification Server 6.0.6074 SP3
PC Transplant Solution

Cause

On the Notification Server the PC Transplant has been removed or disabled. Client Computers are trying to delete the PC Transplant package but they are failing. There are some files that are set as Read-Only in the PC Transplant package causing to not delete the package the all and the client computer keeps trying and failing to do it.

See Article ID: 3146 "Access is denied when attempting to delete PCT package from client computers" for details of what type of errors you could see in the Altiris Agent logs when the package is been deleted.

Solution

The approach taken in previous cases is to remove the 'Read-Only' attribute for those files in the PC Transplant package.

In order to change the 'Read-Only' attribute, run the following:
attrib -R "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Software Delivery\{B4EE7B2B-58B8-462C-9069-845207D2FE01}\cache\setup.iss"
attrib -R "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Software Delivery\{B4EE7B2B-58B8-462C-9069-845207D2FE01}\cache\AgentUpgrade.exe"
in a batch file on all Client computers experiencing the problem. This could be run through a Software Delivery Task, Deployment Server job, or any other means available.

The Altiris Agent should now able to delete the PC Transplant package on its own the next time the delete task runs, however it could take time and more NSEs referring to this package can be generated causing to have an over flood of NSEs on the queues. A second script could then be run that would delete the package in question from the Client computers.
