NetBackup catalog recovery without importing tapes

Problem
Full recovery of the NetBackup catalog is not always appropriate in a disaster recovery situation, particularly when recovering at a disaster recovery site where the arrangement of servers and storage devices may be different to the original site.
Solution
This paper describes the "recovery without import" method of disaster recovery in which image data held in the NetBackup catalog is recovered at the disaster recovery site but aspects like tape assignments and device configurations are not recovered.
