Solution



This TechFile provides information about the Array Support Library (ASL) for ADTX ArrayMasStor FC-II arrays on Veritas Volume Manager for Solaris.

Package Name: Array Support Library for ADTX FC-II (A/P)
Package Version: 2.0,REV=12.16.2003.12.32
Supported versions of Veritas Volume Manager: 3.2 and 3.5
Supported Arrays: ArrayMasStor FC-II (Active/Passive)

At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL package
Uncompress the package, ADTXFCII_asl_264865.tar.Z::
# zcat ADTXFCII_asl_264865.tar.Z | tar xvf -
Before adding any ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled:
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled
Note : Active-Passive arrays require custom configuration to work correctly in the dynamic multipathing (DMP) environment. Contact ADTX Support for array configuration details
Warning: If installing on Solaris 9, then set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib. See TechNote 251706 for complete information (link in the Related Documents section of this TechFile)
Warning : If you have an older version of this ASL (version 1.0) installed for this array, you must uninstall it before you install this current ASL.
To install the package:
# pkgadd -d . ADTXFCII
After the package is installed, you must run the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array as an ADTX array:
# vxdctl enable
After running vxdctl enable, you should see libvxadtx.so in the output of vxddladm listsupport:
# vxddladm listsupport | grep libvxadtx.so
libvxadtx.so             A/P        ADTX       AXRR-HA-FF
