Problem
Does VERITAS Storage Replicator support 64-bit architecture?
Solution
No. 64-bit architecture is not supported. VERITAS Storage
Replicator's (VSR) filter drivers are 32-bit.
VSR will not run on an Intel Itanium system, as its native processing mode is not i386-compatible.
It may be possible, however, to run VSR successfully on a 64-bit system under emulation mode (32-bit). For example: an AMD64 set to run in 32-bit mode (emulation): in this case, the administrator would install the 32-bit release of Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003. That would produce a 32-bit program (VSR) running under 32-bit Windows on a 64-bit system.
