KNOWN ISSUE: Visual C++ Assertion error on client

Issue



A dialog appears with an error stating "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Assertion failed" and identifies the AeXNSAgent.exe as the program. This error happens before an HP Local alert appears in the client's system tray.

Solution



Altiris_HPCM _6_2_KB35224.zip (2.81 MB) resolves this issue. Follow the instructions below to download and install the hotfix.

  1. Download the hotfix on the right hand pane.
  2. Extract the hotfix from the compressed file.
  3. Double-click Altiris_HPClientManager _6_2_KB35224.exe to install the hotfix for HP Client Manager Solution.

NOTE:

This hot fix includes a resolution for KB 34577 KNOWN ISSUE: HP Clients not tracking or reporting RAM changes and contains the previous hot fix, Altiris__HPClientManager _6_2_KB33454, documented in KB 33454.
