Problem

When a computer is retired or removed from a computer collection that a Monitoring Policy applies to, the Site Monitor Agent continues to poll for that computer.

In the Gauge Summaries Dashboard, retired or removed computers still appear.

Cause

Root cause for this behavior is currently unknown.

Symantec is working towards a resolution and will update this article when a resolution is reached. Subscribe to this article if you would like to receive any updates.

Workaround

Make any modification to the appropriate Monitoring Policy and update the Altiris Agent(s) configuration. This will "refresh" all the Site Monitor Agent's settings and properly remove erroneous computer references.
