Backup Exec fully supports robotic libraries with portals through its Export utility jobs.
 

Using the Export media utility on one or more robotic library slots, the media is exported and placed in the portals or mail-slots. If selecting more media than there are portals or mail-slots, the robotic library will fill as many slots as possible, and will prompt for removal of the media from the portal or mail-slot. This process continues until all of the selected media has been removed from the robotic library.

To export media:
1. On the navigation bar, click Devices
2. Select the robotic library
3. Click Slots
4. In the Results pane, select the slots you want to export media from
5. Under Media Tasks in the task pane, select Export media



6. Click Run Now

The export job can be viewed in Job Monitor.
