Product Description:

The attached file contains Maintenance Pack 1 for Storage Foundation and Storage Foundation for Cluster File Solutions for Linux 4.0. This package is a sparse package containing only the RPMs that have been updated since the release of the 4.0 Linux product set. This package set adds support for Oracle 10G RAC, support for DB2 8.2, as well as bug fixes for the 4.0 release which surrounds memory enhancements.

Oracle 10g support - Storage Foundation Real Application Clusters and VERITAS Cluster Server (tm) only

2.4.21-15.EL and errata
2.4.21-15.ELsmp and errata
2.4.21-15.ELhugemem and errata
2 processors
2 GB of memory

VERITAS Storage Foundation Cluster File Solutions 4.0 products

In a Cluster File System environment, Storage Foundation products support only the HUGEMEM kernel model with the caveat that each node with a cluster has at minimum:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Update 2 (i686) is a minimum requirement:
2.4.21-15.ELhugemem and errata
2 processors
2 GB of memory (Hugemem is optimized for 16GB of memory as stated by Redhat. Additional considerations may exist.)

**Unless otherwise stated, 2.4.21-15 (or higher, meaning -18, -20 or -22 for example) is also supported.

** Red Hat EL 3 Update 3 uses the 2.4.21-20 kernel and is hence automatically supported because of the binary compatibility with Red Hat.

Supported Applications:

Storage Foundation and Storage Foundation Cluster File System 4.0 MP1 add support for Oracle 10G RAC as well as DB2 agent for VERITAS Cluster Server (only). This release provides updates and memory optimizations for use with the point products as well as stack products supporting Oracle 9i.
