Introduction

The information in this document applies to:
· VERITAS StorageCentral 5.2 Standard Edition (build 322)
· VERITAS StorageCentral 5.2 Active Directory Edition (build 322)
· VERITAS StorageCentral 5.2 NetApp Edition (build 322)

QFE322001D includes updates to the StorageCentral 5.2 file system filter drivers.

Note: Installing or uninstalling this QFE will require a reboot.

Problems Corrected

This QFE corrects the following StorageCentral issues:
· File blocking exclusion does not work
· Compressed files degrade system performance (this fix is not available for Windows NT 4)
· IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL stop error 0x0a causes the StorageCentral 5.2 computer to restart and crash after the initial boot sequence finishes

Installation Instructions

This section provides the instructions necessary to install the QFE for the Standard, Active Directory, and NetApp editions of StorageCentral.

Interactive Installation

1. Shut down the Microsoft Management Console (MMC)
2. Run QFE322001D.exe
3. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard
4. Reboot the system

Silent Installation

1. Create a batch file containing the following command:

QFE322001D.exe /s /v"/qn REBOOT="ReallySuppress""

2. Run the batch file
3. Reboot the system

Uninstall Instructions

This section provides instructions for uninstalling StorageCentral 5.2 QFE 322001D.

Interactive Uninstall

1. Shut down the MMC
2. From Control Panel,  double-click on Add/Remove Programs or Add or Remove programs. In XP and 2003 the item is "Add or Remove programs"
3. Find VERITAS StorageCentral 5.2 [Q322001D] in the list and click it
4. Click Remove. The system asks you to confirm that you want to remove the QFE
5. Click Yes to confirm you want to remove the QFE
6. Reboot the system

Silent Uninstall

1. Create a batch file containing the following single command:
msiexec /x {1FC366F3-800F-4677-AC24-D432F68A3787} /qn
  REBOOT="ReallySuppress"
2. Run the batch file
3. Reboot the system
