Unable to Mount VERITAS File System (tm) larger than 32 terabytes
Error
asgard# mount -F vxfs /dev/dsk/stdisk1 /mnt
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR: V-3-21268: /dev/dsk/stdisk1 is corrupted. needs checking
Solution
A bug in VERITAS File System (tm) 4.0 prevents file systems
larger than 32 terabytes from mounting. The above error message is
returned.
Even after a full fsck, the file system will not mount.
VERITAS Incident 152360 was created to track this issue. A hotfix is currently available to customers running VERITAS File System 4.0 MP1 RP2 and Solaris 9 only. The fix will be incorporated into a rolling patch at a later date.
