Some HP workstations fail to load the Linux automation environment.
Deployment Solution 6.8.206 and above
The following HP models are affected:
The firmware on the motherboard caused problems with the compiled kernel.
- Create a Linux automation PXE image.
- Browse to Program Files\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server\PXE\Images\MenuOptionXXX\X86PC where XXX corresponds to the image created in step 1.
- Open pxelinux.cfg, and add "pci=conf1" (without the quotation marks) somewhere in the APPEND line.
- Save changes to pxelinux.cfg.
