Problem
Overwritable media with append time set to "none" due to full capacity incorrectly displays in black text.
Solution
Media that is
overwritable will display in the blue text within Backup Exec. Media that
is overwrite protected should display in black text.
When a piece of
media becomes full the append time is automatically set to none. When the
append time is set to none, it will incorrectly show in black text, even
if the media is overwritable (Figure 1).

Note: This
issue will not effect backups, this is strictly a cosmetic issue.
Note: This
display problem can happen with tape media as well as Backup-To-Disk media.
This issue has
been fixed in Backup Exec 10 Revision 5520, Service Pack One and above. To
upgrade to this or the newer versions of Backup Exec, please refer to Technote
