Troubleshooting:
This issue has been reported in environments where the Windows host file contains the same IP for multiple host names. This host file issue may exist on the master server or the client itself.
To investigate this, perform the following steps on both the master server and client:
1.
From the Windows Start menu, click Start | Run. Run
Notepad.
2.
In Notepad, browse to the folder where the host file is kept:
<os_install_directory>\system32\drivers\etc
3.
Open the hosts file
4. Look for any
occurrences of two hosts with the same IP. Figure 2 shows a scenario like
this.

Resolution:
Ensure all clients in the same policy resolve to different IP addresses and host names. This can be done by eliminating any host file entries that have the same IP under different host names. Once these changes are made, save and exit the hosts file. Then, try adding the client to the policy again.
