Storage Exec 5.3 Hotfix 2 details:

Hotfix 2 includes all updates from Hotfix 1 as well as new updates and can be applied to Storage Exec 5.3 with or without Hotfix 1 previously applied.

Hotfix 2 may be applied to both the English and Japanese version.

Hotfix 2 resolves all issues resolved by Hotfix 1 as well as the following issues:

• Memory leak in QAFilter.sys
• Signature for *.wmv files
• Signature for *.mov files
• Signature for PST files
• Signature for NSF files
• Stop error during scan with Enterprise Vault installed.
• QAFilter.sys does not use NmSvFsf.sys
• System boot complication
  

      
Installation procedure:

The hotfix must be applied to all Storage Exec 5.3 servers and agents. After applying the hotfix to Storage Exec 5.3 servers, it can be applied to agents two different ways:
1. Push install the agents from the Storage Exec 5.3 server
2. Command Line Interface - From the Storage Exec server,  copy the C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Storage Exec\utilities\Agent directory to the agent machine and use the command line to install from this directory

Note: The agent can not have the patch directly applied to it by running the hotfix executable on the AGENT machine.
