Problem
When trying to access the Application Metering Configuration page, the error "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values Parameter name:12" appears. This is caused by unchecking the Client should send summary Data every option in the Application Metering Summary Data Configuration section and in some cases in conjuntion with the Purge check box in the same control.
Environment
Application Metering 6.0.1024 or 1030
Cause
The state of the control in the database is inconsistent with expected values. It is still unknown all the possible ways that this state gets out of sync with the servers expectations. Be aware that the purge setting for summary data is one known cause and any adjustment to that will cause this error again.
** It has been reported that this error can also affect the schedule of the summary data and cause clients to send summary every few mintues, but it's not common for this to occur.
Solution
A SQL Script is attached to this KB that fixes the state of the database so that you can continue to have the control disabled and be able to access the configuration page.
This issue has been fixed in Application Metering 6.1
