Problem
Local Recovery Integrity check is forced too often on the client computer.
Environment
Local Recovery 6.2.2760 (SP2)
Local Recovery Pro 6.2.2760 (SP2)
Mixed Mode Recovery Agent 6.2.2760 (SP2)
Cause
On some reboots, the Local Recovery Agent is not properly dismounting the Recovery partition.
Solution
Note: This hotfix is a cumulative hotfix which includes Hotfix 6 for Recovery Solution 6.2.2760.
This hotfix is in the form of AeXRSAgt.exe, AeXRsCfg.dll, LocalRSvc.exe and RsBwCLib.dll.
The hotfix can be applied by doing the following:
- Stop the Local Recovery Server Service on the computer.
- Stop the Altiris Recovery Solution Agent service on the computer.
- Browse to the %Program Files%\Altiris\Recovery Solution Agent folder.
- Replace the old AeXRSAgt.exe, AeXRsCfg.dll, LocalRSvc.exe, and RsBwCLib.dll files with the new from the attachments.
- Restart the Services.
Note: AeXRSAgt.exe, AeXRsCfg.dll, LocalRSvc.exe, and RsBwCLib.dll files also need to be updated to the Data1.cab. The Data1.cab needs to be updated so that new Recovery Agent installations will have the hotfix. It can be modified using ASPack.exe utility. More about ASPack.exe is available in article 24583.
