Problem
PXE fails to send a computer into initial deploy when Deployment Solution is not set to use a MAC address or UUID as a primary lookup key.
Environment
Deployment Solution 6.9 or greater
Cause
In Deployment Solution 6.9, the ability was added for PXE to use multiple lookup keys to recognize computers. To determine the lookup keys, PXE now queries the SMBIOS data from the client computer's firmware. On some newer systems, this SMBIOS data may not be within a memory address range that the PXE bootstrap process can access, causing the PXE server to not be able to properly recognize the client system.
Solution
Use a primary lookup key that includes the MAC address and/or UUID. If the BIOS information is out of range, the MAC address and UUID are obtained using other methods.
