Problem
Data Collector report fails with arithmetic overflow error:
Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type int.
Environment
Recovery Solution 6.2.2332 (SP1)
Cause
Large values in MaxNewDataBytes and AvgNewDataTypes may cause arithmetic overflow when converted into default int data type. New report uses bigint data type to operate with these numbers.
Solution
- Download attached Reports_Server_config.xml.
- Rename file to Reports_Server.config.
- Overwrite original C:\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Console\Config\Reports_Server.config with the new one.
- Execute AexConfigure.exe tool to update reports within solution. Update path if necessary:
C:\>"C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\bin\AeXConfig.exe" /configure "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Console\Config\Solution_Ent.config"
This tool updates Notification Server database and may take few minutes to complete.
