Not able to update HP Supported Systems List

Problem

Clicking on the "Update Supported HP Client Computers" link or the HP Update Supported Systems List" tool returns the following message on the console:

There is a problem retrieving the update file from Altiris Web site. You may be behind a firewall where the file could not be accessed or there is a problem with the file on the Altiris Web site.

You may update the HP Supported Systems list manually by selecting the Update the HP Supported Systems list using an update file option and following the directions provided.

Within theNotification Server logs, the following error will appear:

Unable to download file at method DownloadSysidXML HPCMSSupportedSysIds_6_2.xml from http://www.altiris.com/docs/support/HPClientManager for reason . ( Unhandled exception. Type=System.Net.WebException Msg=The underlying connection was closed: The remote name could not be resolved. Src=System StackTrace= at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus() at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadFile(String address, String fileName) at Altiris.HPCMS.HPToolUpdaterTask.DownloadSysidXML(String sSourceFile, String sDestination) )

HP Client Manager Solution 6.2

Cause

The server that hosts this file is unreachable from the Notification Server Console.

Solution

Attached to the right of this article is the HPCMSSupportedSysIds_6_2.xml file.

Save the .xml file to an accessible volume.
Extract the file to the Notification Server where HPCM is installed.
Browse to HP Update Supported Systems list, Configuration > Solution Settings > Platform Administration > HP Client Manager.
Follow the steps in the Update the HP Supported Systems list using an update file button.
