Issue

When a file is installed to C:\Windows\Profiles\All Users in the files page of Installation Expert, the path is resolved incorrectly to include the UserID of the installing user: C:\Documents and Settings\[UserID]\All Users.

Environment

Wise Package Studio 7 SP3

Cause

The All Users folder should not allow files to be placed directly into it.  The Add Files is disabled, but drag and drop or double clicking the files still works to place files into All Users.

Solution

If you select the All Users folder you will see that the Add Files button on the page becomes disabled.  The bug is that you can still add files to the All Users directory using drag and drop or double clicking on a file when the All Users directory was selected. Files cannot be added to "All Users" in any manner.

Note: This has been resolved with Wise Package Studio version 8.0 available 29 OCT 2009.
This issue is resolved with the release of Wise Installation Studio 7 SP2 on 15 March 2009.
