Problem
Does PC Transplant Solution 6.8 provide real-time migration logging?
Solution
Starting with PC Transplant Solution 6.8 Service Pack 1 Hotfix 39793 (6.8.1036), there is an extra command line switch "-extendedlog" which will provide migration details into a text file into a text log file in real-time. Without this switch, all logging is cashed in memory until the opperation is complete then written to the log file.
Usage: pctwiz.exe -extendedlog
The log will be created in the standard location for PC Transplant Solution, which is under the user account PC Transplant Solution is being executed under.
For example: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Altiris\PC Transplant\6.8\captured settingsxx-xx-xxxx_xx_xx_xx.log
The x's represent the date and time when the migration started.
