Client booting to PXE receives PXE boot error; "PXE-E74: No MAN_INTO of OS_INFO options found"
Confirmed in Deployment Solution 6.9.xxx, but will happen in all versions of DS / PXE
Customer had 8 different Shared Menu Options, and then additional 7 Local Menu Options (all with extensive descriptions).
When automation was utilized, jobs ran with no problem. When computers were manually selected to PXE (F8), they received the error message.
The additional Menu Options in the Local settings caused the total characters to exceed the PXE Menu buffer. The buffer is approximately 240 characters. It is not just the characters in the Menu Options list, but also needs to take into account the carriage returns, the numbers associated with each menu option, and title characters.
In this particular instance, editting the PXE Menu Options definitions to as few of characters as possible reduced the total character count below the ~240 character limit.
These were all different DOS Menu Options, with specific drivers for each Menu Option, duplicated for Local Boot also. Additionally in this case, it was suggested that the options could be consolidate under a WinPE option.
