Patch Management Solution 6.2, 7.0, 7.1, 7.1 SP1, SP2 & MP1.
Affecting the following Operating Systems: Windows Vista / Server 2008 / Windows 7
Windows Vista / Server 2008 / Windows 7 requires the 'Windows Software Update' service to be running.
Configure the 'Windows Update Service' to start 'Manual' or 'Automatically.'
Note: If it is set to 'Manual;' the service will start and remain started until the computer is rebooted.
Warning: When the setting 'Automatically' is implemented; found the OS sometimes reboots the client following the Software Update Cycle. This is outside the Patch Management Solution control. Ensure testing is performed in the environment before deploying with this configuration within production.
