KNOWN ISSUE: Unable to logoff or shutdown Mac system with pcAnywhere ThinHost running

Technical Solution



Attempting to logoff or shutdown a Mac system while the pcAnywhere ThinHost is running results in a dialog with the error:

"Logout has timed out because teh application ThinHost failed to quit.  To try again, quit ThinHost and choose Log Out from the Apple menu."



This is a known issue and Symantec is currently investigating this issue. 



Mac OS X


This issue has been resolved in sp1 and later of pcAnywhere solution. 

If unable to upgrade at this time a workaround is to manually close the host in order to log out of the Mac machine.

<command>+Q is one method.
