2. Right-click the Recovery Storage Group and then click Add Database to Recover (Figure 3).
3. Find the Production Mailbox Store which needs to be recovered, highlight it and then click OK (Figure 4).
4. Then select the path for the .stm and .edb files under the Database tab. The default is:
6. Verify that the store was created (Figure 5).
7. Open the Backup, Archive, and Restore window on the Exchange server. Please note that for clustered Exchange servers this step will need to be performed on a Media server, such as the Master server.
8. Click OK on the warning message, if it appears (Figure 6).
9. Click File | Specify NetBackup Machines.
10. Click the Clients/Policy Type tab, and select MS-Exchange for the Policy Type, change the Source and Destination clients if needed and click OK (Figure 7).
11. Select the backup image and then the mailbox store and log files to restore (Figure 8).
12. Then click Actions | Start Restore of Marked Files.
13. On the Restore Marked Files tab select Restore everything to its original location.
Even though the NetBackup interface indicates everything is being restored to the original location, the data is sent to the recovery storage group. It cannot be restored to the production storage group, since it is not dismounted and is not marked to overwrite with restore. The Exchange API handles redirecting the information to the recovery storage group.
14. On the Microsoft Exchange tab, leave everything as default unless changes are required, click Start Restore.
15. Click Yes on the View Status window to monitor the restore.
