Files updated by this hotfix
After installing the hotfix, the
attributes of the installed files will change as indicated in the table below.
Note that the date and time are stored in universal time. When looking at the
date and time of the files on the server where the hotfix was installed, they
will be converted to local time. Use the Date and Time tool provided by Windows
to determine the difference between universal time and local time
Hotfix 21 updates the following
files in addition to those files updated by Hotfix 1 through 20, thus making
Hotfix 21 cumulative of all hotfixes through this release. See the Related
Documents section below for details on Hotfix 20
| File Name | File Version | File Size (bytes) |
|---|---|---|
| SESnapin.dll | 5.3.2190.21 | 1,586,720 |
Note: Storage Exec Hotfix 14
changed Storage Exec functionality to address a volume by its GUID rather than
its drive letter. This was done so that Storage Exec could manage a volume
mounted to a folder rather than a drive letter. Since all Storage Exec hotfixes
are cumulative, after installing any hotfix subsequent to Hotfix 14, Storage
Exec will not function correctly if the updated files are manually replaced by
the previous version, a practice typically referred to as "back rev'ing".
Therefore, after installing this hotfix, do not attempt to "back rev" the
individual files in an attempt to accomplish a manual uninstallation.
Be certain to back up the
Storage Exec registry: HKLM\Software\Veritas\Storage Exec
