Problem
NBU 6.0 BUG REPORT: File level Flashbackup restores fail when restoring from a Linux or HP-UX Media Server to a Windows client.
Solution
Bug:
631626 Flashbackup restore fails with status code 5 after upgrade to 6.0MP1.
Symptom(s):
A file level restore from a Flashbackup backup image will result in Status Code 5, if restored from a Linux or HP-UX Media Server to a Windows client. The problem does not exist when restoring to Unix clients.
Log Files:
The Activity Monitor will show:
begin reading
Error bptm cannot write data to socket, 10054
end Restore
the restore failed to recover the requested files (5)
The bprd log on the master server will show:

Workaround:
There are 2 separate workarounds for this issue:
There are 2 separate workarounds for this issue:
1. Perform a raw partition level
restore of the data, instead of a file level restore. This restores the
entire partition at once. For more information on raw partitions, see the
System Administrator's Guide, referenced below.
2. Restore the data from a Media
Server running a supported version of NetBackup that is unaffected by this
issue.
