I am a user of Symantec Veritas products, how do I download my product electronically now?

The Veritas file download sites were replaced with a new electronic delivery site called FileConnect http://fileconnect.symantec.com . FileConnect is for all customers wanting to obtain electronic downloads: new customers receive their initial license (or authorization to download), and existing customers obtain upgrades or maintenance for Symantec and Veritas products.

I have just purchased Storage Foundations and High Availability Solutions for Solaris. How do I download my product?

Your new purchase certificate includes a link to the Symantec License Portal , which is where you obtain your license key. Once you download the license key, you will be linked to the FileConnect service to download your new purchases.

I am an existing NetBackup 6.0 customer, with an active support contract, how do I get the latest maintenance pack?

As you already have a license and active support, you should have received a Version Upgrade invitation email with a link to the Licensing Portal to verify your license and then a link to download the software from FileConnect.

This applies to licensed customers of Symantec Veritas products under current maintenance for new releases - major, minor, and most maintenance packs. The Version Upgrade email is automatically sent to the email addresses registered for your entire company. You can verify or update your company contact information at https://mysupport.symantec.com/ , and you must subscribe to the Newsletter mailing list to be notified of releases.

I am an existing Storage Foundation 4.3 for Windows customer with an active support contract. I attempted to call Symantec Customer Care but it is after standard business hours. I urgently need the maintenance pack, how do I obtain it?

If you are unable to contact Customer Care and believe you require immediate access to a maintenance release, contact Enterprise Technical Support. They will evaluate your problem and determine if the maintenance release or an existing patch will address your issue. If it will, they will provide you with download information for the appropriate patch or maintenance release.

I am an existing Provisioning Manager 4.1 customer; I never received an invitation to upgrade to version 4.2. How can I download it?

To insure you have a current maintenance license, go to https://mysupport.symantec.com/ . If you are up to date with your maintenance contract and misplaced or did not receive your upgrade letter, please contact Symantec Customer Care, using one of the numbers listed here: http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/assistance_care.jsp 

From the phone tree, select Option 1. When the Customer Care Representative comes on the line, request a Provisioning Manager upgrade. The Customer Care Representative will verify your entitlement [license] and issue you a temporary serial number which will give you access to download the product from FileConnect http://fileconnect.symantec.com/ 

I am an existing Cluster Server 5.0 for AIX customer; how can I find out if 5.0 Maintenance Pack 1 (MP1) is released?

FileConnect maintains a list of all products currently available for download. Go to http://www.symantec.com/downloads/fileconnect/index.jsp  and search for your product, using the name as it appears on the Media Kit or Physical Media. When you find the product and version you are seeking, click the box to the left of the product name to expand it. All updates for the release will be listed below the main product version.

I am considering purchasing Veritas Insight Inquire. Is there a way I can evaluate the product first?

Yes. Veritas Insight Inquire is available for evaluation at http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/licensing/trialware.jsp  as are most of the Symantec Enterprise products and solutions.

For most products, contact your local Symantec Sales Representative at http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/contact_sales.jsp  for a license key. Outside the United States, go to http://www.symantec.com and select the country appropriate for your location.
