The message "Could not locate a sharable quorum resource" appears when installing MSCS (Microsoft Cluster Server) onto a server that is running Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows
Error
Could not locate a sharable quorum resource
Solution
When installing Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS), the message "Could not locate a sharable quorum resource" is received - Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows, Microsoft Cluster Server Option.
This error occurs if all shared disks have been upgraded to Veritas dynamic disks.
To resolve this issue, leave at least one basic disk available for the quorum to use while running the installation. The quorum may later be moved to a dynamic volume on a dynamic disk.
