Problem
Microsoft Outlook clients on Citrix Presentation servers running Terminal Services are unable to view the content of the email or open the attachment in Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange.
Error
Unable to load this feature. Feature ID not registered
Solution
Overview:
The client cannot use Visual
Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) in custom Outlook forms if the clients are
using Microsoft Outlook 2002, 2003 or 2007 in a Microsoft Windows Terminal
Services environment. The clients will not be able to view the content of
archived emails or open archived attachments.
Symptoms:
The following error message is
displayed if Outlook Script Editor is started: "Unable to load this feature.
Feature ID not registered".
Cause:
The support files necessary to
enable VBScript in Outlook custom forms are not installed after installing
Outlook 2002, 2003 or 2007 on a computer configured with Terminal Services. By
default, Microsoft Office XP, Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 Microsoft
Office programs do not install the VBScript component in a Windows Terminal
Server environment.
Note: Earlier
versions of Outlook supported VBScript in a Terminal Services
environment.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, copy the
"Outlvbs.dll" file from a computer that
is not running Microsoft Outlook 2002 on a Terminal Server following this
Microsoft KB article.
Vendor:
Microsoft
OS: Microsoft Windows
2000 and 2003
Hardware: X86
Issue: Forms with
VBScript do not work with Terminal Services in Outlook
