Verify the cksum and then unpack the file in a new directory:

# mv storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar_286460.gz storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar.gz

# cksum storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar.gz

3557758806      197416887       storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar.gz

# gzip -d storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar.gz

# tar -xf storage_and_cluster_file_solutions_3.5u4_hpux.CD.tar

# ls -1
